Das Pokémon-Fan-Event in Süddeutschland
Ihr kennt das sicherlich auch: Da sitzt man gemütlich in lockerer Runde zusammen, albert herum, quatscht, isst gemeinsam und trinkt ein wenig und dann stellt jemand mitten in all dem Trubel die Frage aller Fragen: „Warum machen wir das eigentlich nicht selbst?“ und schon sitzt man da, schaut dumm aus der Wäsche und alle fangen an zu grübeln…
Pokémon begleiten uns schon seit über 20 Jahren durch unser Leben und wenn wir ganz ehrlich sind, wollten wir eigentlich schon immer echte Pokémon-Trainer werden. Aber wie das nun mal in den 90er Jahren eben so war und weil wir noch kleine Knirpse waren, gab es kein Event, das es uns ermöglichte, diesen Traum wahr werden zu lassen. Und irgendwann, tja, da tritt dieser Traum in den Hintergrund, weil man älter wird, weil man keine Zeit mehr hat und eventuell andere Dinge mag. Doch irgendwie vergisst man ihn eben nie ganz, denn man kauft sich immer wieder das neuste Pokémon-Spiel und ist dort der Pokémon-Trainer, der man sein möchte.
2016 wurden wir durch einen Aufruf im Web auf ein Pokémon-Fan-Event aufmerksam, das uns die Möglichkeit gab, selbst in die Rollen von Arenaleitern, Top-Vier, Champs, NPCs, Bösewichten oder Trainern zu schlüpfen. Diese gefiel uns so gut, dass viele von uns Jahre lang dabei blieben, um mitzumachen, das Event wachsen zu sehen oder sogar als Bereichsleiter zu unterstützen. Aber irgendwann war uns all das nicht mehr genug und wir dachten uns, dass es auch mal Zeit für etwas Eigenes wird. Denn wieso sollte man nur die Pokémon-Fans außerhalb von Bayern glücklich machen?
GEMEINSAM SIND WIR STARK
Nun können wir bestehende Events natürlich nicht einfach
eins zu eins kopieren und woanders hin verpflanzen. Stattdessen können wir aber versuchen, die Grundidee der Events, es anderen Leuten zu ermöglichen einmal in ihrem Leben echte Pokémon-Trainer zu sein, weiter spinnen und so unser ganz eigenes Event auf die Beine zu stellen. Dabei legt die Noris-Liga besonders viel Wert auf die Zusammenarbeit mit regionalen Conventions, Vereinen und Kulturschaffenden. Deshalb freuen wir uns sehr, dass wir so viele begeisterte Helfer in den Bereichen Cosplay und LARP gefunden haben, um die Noris-Liga zu dem zu machen, was uns vorschwebt. Taucht also mit uns in die fantastische Welt der Pokémon ein, indem wir die digitale mit der realen Welt verschmelzen!

The Pokémon fan event in southern Germany
You’ve probably been there: You and your friends are sitting around talking, drinking, eating and reminiscing about those good old days, until someone says “you know what we should do?”. While most of these situations end in a good laugh and some theoretical thought experiment at best, sometimes it may lead to much, much more. We believe this is one of these times….
Pokémon has been in our lives for over 20 years now, and all this time we all secretly dreamt of being actual pokemon trainers.
But as it were, most of us were hardly old enough to have any job at all, much less able to host our own events, and while we would all have loved to participate in anything Pokemon related, the number of actual physical events was very limited.
As often happens with childhood fantasies, they fade into the background once you grow older. Other stuff becomes more important, time is more limited and new hobbies or responsibilities may overshadow what once was so essential.
Still, somehow Pokemon never really left our lives. Every new Pokemon game revived this dream again, kept it breathing, fed its flame. And thus, even after more than 20 Years we all still want to be Pokemon trainers!
In 2016 we were made aware of a Pokemon-Fan-Event which allowed the participants to take on the role of Gym leaders, Elite Four, Pokemon Champions, Villains, Trainers and NPCs. The core concept of this event really resonated with us and we would soon find ourselves more involved from year to year, seeing the event grow and taking on new roles like area manager to keep the event alive and growing.
This involvement soon led to wanting more and especially the thought of bringing such an amazing experience to our fellow Fans in Bavaria and southern Germany made us decide on drawing up a concept for our very own Pokemon Event in Nürnberg.

Obviously we weren’t just going to copy the Event as is and simply move it to a different region. But we are still very convinced by the core idea of enabling participants to fulfill their dream of being real pokemon trainers and mostly wanted to expand on this core concept as much as possible.
The Noris-League set out to not only bring participants the best possible experience but also to foster cooperation and interaction between different parts of fan culture. By approaching regional conventions, clubs and cultural centers we managed to find many who share these ideals and we are happy to see how many passionate helpers from the Cosplay and LARP communities joined our project.
